These things will get you respect. Harrass your "enemies". Keep arguing long after it's clear you don't have a point. Post incorrect information. Make conversational NZR posts. Post to the wrong forum. Act arrogant when you can't back it up. These things expend the respect people have for you. Finally, go read "The Fountainhead" by Ayn Rand. Trying to win the respect of others is a pointless exercise in turning oneself into a lapdog. Don't live your life second-hand, through the perception of others. Live the life you want for yourself. The paragraph above about winning respect: do those things, but do them for yourself, not for some kind of esteem points and gold stars.
